The fruiting body of fungi are called mushrooms. Local Forager, Greg Haberfeld, introduces participants to some of the delicious, edible mushroom species that can be found in the Tallahassee area. The class will cover some foraging tips and techniques, the best time of year to forage for mushrooms in Tallahassee, and some recipes for preparing some of our delicious local mushrooms such as chanterelles.
