Upcoming Real vs. Fake News? Cybersecurity Awareness Seminars (3 parts)

The Cybersecurity Outreach Organization at Florida State University is hosting a series of seminars at the TSC aimed at educating the community on essential online safety practices. The first seminar will explore how to identify real versus fake news online. Attendees will learn effective strategies for evaluating the credibility of information sources. The second seminar will address phishing attacks, providing practical advice on recognizing and avoiding email and phone scams. The final seminar will focus on safely navigating the web, helping participants ensure the authenticity and trustworthiness of websites while protecting their personal information and avoiding common online threats. These events align with the organization’s mission to foster cybersecurity awareness, education, and collaboration with the surrounding communities. Fee $15 for series.
