TSC Coffeehouse Concert presents — Sarasota’s own PASSERINE!
Fri, Oct 12, 11 am – Noon
You will love Passerine’s unique and ever-evolving version of Americana music, which occupies a zone somewhere between modern folk, progressive bluegrass, and what is loosely called “Americana.” Founded by Singer/songwriter Carmela Pedicini (“Radio-Free Carmela and the Transmitters”) and David Brain (Dobro), they recruited violinist Sara Stovall — who has stretched her wings as a vocalist and a songwriter in her own right.– and Doug Conroy (bass, vocals) – who earned his Passerine wings on their 6,000 mile “Northern Loon” tour. Passerine has been featured on stages and festivals statewide, nationally, and internationally. The band has released four CDs, including “Shiny Things” in 2023. Best described as “A genre-bending take on traditional folk and bluegrass–you will love their Inventive vocal harmonies and their repertoire of original songwriting”
