Embark on a captivating journey through Tallahassee’s vibrant past with the artworks along the History and Culture Trail. Running parallel to FAMU Way, this trail memorializes the contributions and cultural impact of the economic engines, community activists, and everyday heroes who lived in the communities highlighted. The project’s Public Art Manager Amanda Karioth Thompson, will provide an up close and personal look at the 12 site-specific artworks, crafted by seven commissioned artists. These murals and sculptures connect citizens to their shared history and make cultural heritage a tangible asset. The History and Culture Trail is part of the Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency’s Capital Cascades Trail Segment 3 Project.
