Experience a guided tour of the Walter Schmidt Museum at the Florida Geologic Survey. The museum showcases and describes Florida’s spectacular geologic formations and surface features. There are exhibits about our aquifer and other geologic resources important to Floridians now and in the past. On exhibit are an array of vertebrate fossils including a fossil dugong skeleton. There is a fantastic display of fossils from the Withlacoochee River. The museum also contains unique rock and mineral specimens collected in Florida including the impressive calcite collection of Dr. Tom Scott. Includes transportation from the TSC.
