Hailing from New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz, Leon Anderson is an Associate Professor and Director of Jazz Studies at FSU. This master drummer has performed around the world alongside legends such as Marcus Roberts and Wynton Marsalis. He has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl, the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, and at the Jacksonville Jazz Festival.
