From classic carols to lively performances, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The more, the merrier – we encourage you to invite your family and friends to join in the festivities!

Tallahassee Senior Center’s popular Lunchtime Coffeehouse Concerts showcase a variety of accomplished musicians in a warm and friendly atmosphere.  Whether you’re a fan of folk, blues, or something in between, our concerts will provide the perfect lunchtime escape.

Feel free to bring your own lunch, take the time to unwind in the middle of the day and enjoy some great music. We bring you a mid-day break that’s both relaxing and entertaining.

Flamy Grant
Monday, Dec. 2, 11 am – Noon

Award-winning and Billboard-charting artist Flamy Grant is a shame-slaying, hip-swaying, singing-songwriting drag queen from western North Carolina. Her 2022 debut record, Bible Belt Baby, reached the #1 spot on the iTunes Christian Charts (the first drag performer to achieve this feat), was nominated for Best Pop Album at the San Diego Music Awards, and was named one of the Top Ten Queer Country Albums of 2023 by Rainbow Rodeo Magazine. Her single “Good Day” also debuted at #20 on the Billboard Christian digital sales chart. Flamy is a winner of the 2023 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Competition anas been featured in Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, People, and more. A powerhouse vocalist and intrepid songwriter who blends folk, gospel, and roots, Flamy drags you into a therapeutic, theatrical mix of storytelling and song.

The Little Mercies

Enjoy a holiday inspired concert! The Little Mercies are a folk trio of three singing, songwriting multi-instrumentalists, Bronwyn Chelete, Rosalee Walsh, and Shanice Richards. The three friends found each other through Tallahassee old time music scene, and have quickly become a phenomenon in the Florida folk music scene.  Their sound is pure magic.

Daniel Neihoff

Daniel is a singer/songwriter from Paduka, KY. He has been writing songs since he was 8 years old and has been described as one of the best storytelling songwriters in Nashville. Coming from a family of storytellers, he sees the world through a wide lens. His soulful storytelling, effortless fingerpicking and powerful vocals have positioned his as one of the contemporary artist to watch. He is a Kerrville New Folk Competition and Rocky Mountain Songwriters Contest winner. Don’t miss this! $10 donation.

Alice Wallace
Tuesday, March 4, 11:00 am

Alice Wallace was named 2017 Female Vocalist of the Year by the California Country Awards, and her voice has been called “a powerful natural occurrence… an awe-striking wonder.” She previously released four solo albums, including 2019’s “Into the Blue,” which earned recognition from Rolling Stone Country with the title track being named one of the Best Americana Songs to Hear Now.

Passerine

You will love Passerine’s unique and ever-evolving version of Americana music, which occupies a zone somewhere between modern folk, progressive bluegrass, and what is loosely called “Americana.”  Founded by Singer/songwriter Carmela Pedicini (“Radio-Free Carmela and the Transmitters”) and David Brain (Dobro), they recruited violinist Sara Stovall – who has stretched her wings as a vocalist and a songwriter in her own right – and Doug Conroy (bass, vocals) – who earned his Passerine wings on their 6,000 mile “Northern Loon” tour.
Passerine has been featured on stages and festivals statewide, nationally, and internationally.
