March 22 – April 26 (6 weeks)
Fridays, 9 am – 12 noon
Workshop Description:
No clay experience needed. Participants will learn how to create pieces of art using the fundamental clay methods and create pinch pots and forms using coils and slabs in conjunction with scoring and adding slip. You will learn how to gauge the different stages of clay: wet, leather hard, greenware, the fire ready stage and bisque. Once your piece is in the greenware stage, we will be discussing the different options on how to finish your piece using underglazes, glazes or acrylics.
